Maser was founded in 2014 as a consumer-electronics brand in India, focused on delivering reliable televisions and home appliances. During this phase, the company built its product quality, manufacturing partnerships, and early market presence in India.

In 2018, a shipment exported from India to the UAE was re-exported to Africa. This unexpected development introduced Maser to African markets and revealed strong demand for value-driven consumer-electronics products.

By 2019, Maser had sold over 200,000 units of consumer-electronics products across multiple African countries. This milestone marked the beginning of strong distributor relationships and continent-wide market expansion.

By 2024, Maser crossed USD 1 billion+ in annual revenue, reflecting its scale and market leadership across Africa. Following the transition, MDR Investments was established as the group’s investment platform. MDR focuses on long-term investments across: • Mining & natural resources • Infrastructure & roadways • Shipping & logistics • Data centers • Artificial-intelligence-led ventures • Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects with African governments
